This wonderful athame set provides two athames crafted in the style of the Scottish Sgian Dubh. A part of the modern ceremonial dress of the Scottish Highlands, the sgian is worn along with a kilt and hose. Tucked into the top of the hose, it is traditionally worn in a manner that leaves only the hilt exposed. In this case, the pairing of Sgian athames are modeled in identical styles and designs, with one being the smaller twin of the other. With the traditionally shaped hilt being crafted of molded black pastic, both the larger and smaller Sgian athames are light weight, allowing you to easily hold it during longer ritual crafts. Both also feature pewter adornments accenting the stainless steel blade. The larger measures 9 1/4" long with a 4 1/2" blade, while the smaller measures 6 1/2" long with a 3 1/4" long blade. Both include black molded plastic sheaths accented by decorative silver-tone casements.
